Wednesday's regular season football finale includes No. 7 Maple Grove at Champlin Park, a showdown for the inaugural Northwest Suburban Conference North Division title.
Maple Grove (7-0) attained undefeated status after Osseo forfeited two games for using an ineligible player. Champlin Park (5-2) started the year ranked in the top 10 but dropped its first two games to defending big-school champion Eden Prairie and Hopkins. Since then the Rebels are unbeaten.

Centennial's boys' cross-country team scored 45 points to win the Northwest Suburban Conference meet held Oct. 11 at Elk River Golf Club. On the girls' side, Elk River was right at home, scoring 81 points in victory.
Andover's Steven Cotter captured individual medalist honors, covering the 5K course in 15 minutes, 58.9 seconds to beat teammate Chris Meados by less than 4 seconds. The pair was about 30 seconds ahead of the field.
Freshman Rachel Ness paced the Elks' winning effort. Her 4K time of 14 minutes, 51.1 seconds tied her with Andover's Nicole Heitzman for medalist honors.
