Vikings coach Brad Childress said in a conference call with Boston reporters this morning that he doesn't anticipate quarterback Brett Favre taking any snaps in practice today.
This comes as no surprise considering Favre is dealing with a stress fracture in his left ankle and another fracture in his heel. This doesn't mean Favre won't play Sunday -- in fact there already are indictions Favre might want to give it a shot -- but this is going to be a wait-and-see situation.
Favre was in a walking boot on Monday and is scheduled to address the media late this morning.
Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker said on a conference call today that he expects Favre to play. "The guy has a history of always being out there so I would expect him to [play]," Welker said.
