We are not sure what Eiko & Koma, performers who are among the foremost American exponents of the Japanese dance style known as butoh, would think of this news coming out of England.

The London Evening Standard reports that French-based rider, director and designer Bartabas has choreographed horses to do circus tricks, dressage and butoh for a show called "The Centaur and the Animal."

Twin Cities audieces will get a chance to ask Eiko & Koma their thoughts starting Monday. The couple will be celebrating 35 years of performance at Walker Art Center with a commissioned dance and visual art installation, "Naked," which will be performed in the center's galleries through the end of November.

The human performers in Minneapolis are likely to move at a different pace than that of those doing the 'Equus' boogie in London.
