Dark days

It's a somber week as we recognize the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Two specials stand out: "Dick Cavett's Vietnam" (9 p.m. Monday, TPT, Ch. 2) culls material from his past talk shows, giving us a sense of just how divided and frustrated the country was at the time. Warren Beatty, Paul Newman, Jane Fonda and Hubert Humphrey are among the guests featured in clips. "Last Days in Vietnam" (8 p.m. Tuesday, TPT, Ch. 2) will shake even those who think they know plenty about the war. The footage of people trying to get out of Saigon — while diplomats made one mistake after another — is nothing less than harrowing.

Get happy

"Happyish" hasn't had the happiest of histories. The Showtime comedy was planned as a vehicle for the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was set to play a middle-aged man panicked that younger men at his ad agency would sweep him out. On the plus side, maybe this will finally be the project that makes Hoffman's replacement, Steve Coogan, a more recognizable name in the United States. 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Showtime

Frequent fliers

Nobody loves crossover episodes more than producer Dick Wolf. He brings together characters from three of his shows, starting with "Chicago Fire" (9 p.m. Tuesday) and concluding with "Chicago P.D." (8 p.m. Wednesday) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (9 p.m. Wednesday), with detectives trying to solve similar murders that took place in Chicago and New York City. KARE, Ch. 11

Faking it

The morning show wars intensify when Hoda Kotb of "Today" takes on Michael Strahan of "Live With Kelly and Michael" for "Lip Sync Battle." So who gets to perform "Good Day, Sunshine"? 9 p.m. Thursday, Spike
