Q: Who is the guy in the wheelchair on "NCIS: New Orleans"? I know I've seen him on something else but cannot think what.

A: That is Daryl Mitchell playing Investigative Computer Specialist Patton Plame on the CBS drama. Mitchell, who has also been billed as Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, has been a regular presence on television, including on "The John Larroquette Show" and "Veronica's Closet." His life changed dramatically in November 2001 when a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, but his career has gone on.

Finding 'Grantchester'

Q: There was an English program entitled "Manchester," which involved mysteries solved by a detective along with the help of an Anglican minister. I saw three episodes and enjoyed it but I believe it has been removed from the PBS station.

A: Actually, the program you are looking for is called "Grantchester." It aired on PBS' "Masterpiece" for its six-episode first-season run, and a second season is in the works. The first season comes to DVD on Tuesday.

'Heartland' trumps 'Good Witch'

Q: We liked the actor who played Jake on "The Good Witch." In the new series he is not there, supposedly been killed. What happened to him?

A: Chris Potter had played Jake, the husband of Cassie (Catherine Bell) in seven "Good Witch" TV movies. When the movies were turned into a series, Bell told Zap2it.com, Potter had another commitment: the Canadian drama "Heartland," where he has starred since 2007.

"We tried very hard for months, but we couldn't get him back from his other show," Bell said. So the series killed off Jake and introduced a new romantic possibility for Cassie: a neighbor played by "Desperate Housewives'" James Denton. Those of you still looking for Potter can find "Heartland" on the UP network; there are also several seasons on Netflix.
