Who's going to tell Mom?

Controversial director Neil LaBute ("In the Company of Men") returns to TV with "Billy & Billie," a new comedy about an opposites-attract couple who are falling in love. One teeny problem: They're stepsiblings. LaBute's eagerness to shock will disturb many viewers, but there's no denying that he's got a great ear for dialogue, even if it's cruder than an Amy Poehler routine. Adam Brody ("The O.C.") is just fine as the unruffled brother, but it's relative newcomer Lisa Joyce who steals the show as the sister, wearing her frustrations all over her sleeve. 7 p.m. Tuesday, DirecTV

Case fear

Juliette Lewis is frighteningly good as the country's most skeptical detective in "Secrets & Lies," a new whodunit in which Ryan Phillippe co-stars as the suspected killer of a child in his neighborhood. The mystery is so-so, but Lewis, who has flown largely under the radar since "Cape Fear," reminds us of her immense talent. 8 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5

Project runway

Minnesotans don't usually fare well on reality-competition series — unless you're talking about "RuPaul's Drag Race," which kicks off its seventh season with another local in the mix. Max Malanaphy, a familiar figure on the Twin Cities theater scene, hopes to follow in the high heels of Bebe Zahara Benet, the Minneapolis resident who won the inaugural season. 8 p.m. Monday, Logo

Our man in Havana

It was 1959 when "Tonight Show" host Jack Paar visited Havana to chat with Fidel Castro. Now late-night TV returns to the island on "Conan" with footage from Conan O'Brien's visit last month to Cuba. Let's hope he brought back enough rum and cigars for everyone. 10 p.m. Wednesday, TBS
