Superfriends

Seth Meyers can’t stop playing with his former “Saturday Night Live” colleagues. “The Awesomes,” the animated superhero spoof that’s back for a second season, features the voices of “SNL” vets Bill Hader, Rachel Dratch, Cecily Strong and several others. Now available for streaming at hulu.com.

Same ol’ song and dance

Music genres creep ever so closer together in “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” featuring highlights from Nashville’s four-day party hosted by Little Big Town. The play list features the usual suspects: Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley. Can we start expanding the invite list, people? 7 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Honky tonk girl

For a more traditional country hoedown, check out 1980’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” the biopic of Loretta Lynn that earned Sissy Spacek an Oscar. She is indeed great, but the real surprise here is the performance from the late Levon Helm as Lynn’s father. He had a great career as a drummer for the Band, but this turn makes you wish he had done more acting. 7 p.m. Ovation
