The doctor will see you now

Personalities from “Jersey Shore,” “The Bachelorette” and other insipid series get counseling on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.” Hard to say what’s more disgusting: The couples shamelessly milking their 15th minute of fame or the therapists who signed up for this gig. 8 p.m. Friday, WE

Arrrrgh!

John Malkovich does everything but place a parrot on his shoulder in his portrayal of Blackbeard in “Crossbones,” a campy but enjoyable pirate tale from Neil Cross, the creator of “Luther.” The limited series has something to do with an invention that could change the world, but you can throw the plot overboard. The real fun here is watching Malkovich chew up the scenery. 9 p.m. Friday, KARE, Ch. 11

Smells like teen spirit

Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens, Hall & Oates and the E Street Band are all saluted for “The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,” but make no mistake about it: The evening is all about Nirvana with terrific performances from four great female singers. 7 p.m. Saturday, HBO

War games

Move over, Don Draper. There’s a new egotist on the scene. With “Mad Men” in hiatus until next year, you may find yourself curious about its replacement, “Halt and Catch Fire,” a series set in the early 1980s, when personal computers were just starting to take off. It’s not nearly as boring as you’d think, thanks to Lee Pace, who plays a vengeful former IBM executive. 9 p.m. Sunday, AMC
