Jam-packed decade

Tom Hanks’ interest in the ’60s didn’t end with his directorial debut, “That Thing You Do!” It extends to “The Sixties,” a 10-part documentary series he’s co-producing that covers everything from pop culture to the Vietnam War. You’ve seen a lot of this territory covered before, but the packaging is top-notch. 8 p.m. CNN

Cool-a-mundo

Chris D’Elia survived “Whitney” intact enough to star as a modern-day Fonz trying to help a group of Ralph Malphs in “Undateable,” a new series executive produced by “Cougartown” creator Bill Lawrence. Oh, if the “Happy Days” references were lost on you, you’re clearly under the age of 40. 8 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11

Satanic verses

The fifth season of “Our America With Lisa Ling,” which will move to CNN next year, kicks off with a look at the influences of the Devil. Oh, no! Not more about Donald Sterling. 9 p.m. OWN
