Capitol matters

In "Crisis," a group of mysterious thugs pulls off a kidnapping in Washington, D.C., that threatens the president of the United States. If you think this sounds like CBS' "Hostages," which bombed earlier this season, you'd be right. This serialized drama shows more promise than its predecessor, thanks to a nifty twist in the premiere that you won't see coming and an urgent sense of pacing courtesy of director Phillip Noyce. 9 p.m. Sunday, KARE, Ch. 11.
