Barf bag optional

So you’ve always wanted to blast into space, but get queasy even riding an elevator. Try “Live From Space,” a special hosted by Soledad O’Brien that allows selected viewers to ask questions of astronauts working out of the International Space Station. Most common inquiry: “Which episode of ‘House of Cards’ are you on?” 7 p.m. Friday, National Geographic

Better off dead

If you’re not getting your full zombie fix from “The Walking Dead,” you can dig into an all-day gore marathon that kicks off with the movie “Zombies of Mass Destruction” (5 a.m. Saturday, Epix) and includes the world premiere of “Doc of the Dead” (7 p.m.), which looks at the relationship between the living and not-so living in film.

Hail to the Chief

The must-see video of the week is hands down the latest episode of “Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis,” with guest President Obama. The president is on hand to plug his health care plan, but he also gets to show off his caustic side of humor, more than holding his own with a talented comedian. Funnyordie.com

Capitol matters

In “Crisis,” a group of mysterious thugs pulls off a kidnapping in Washington, D.C., that threatens the president of the United States. If you think this sounds like CBS’ “Hostages,” which bombed earlier this season, you’d be right. This serialized drama shows more promise than its predecessor, thanks to a nifty twist in the premiere that you won’t see coming and an urgent sense of pacing courtesy of director Phillip Noyce. 9 p.m. Sunday, KARE, Ch. 11.
