The name is Fleming, Ian Fleming

James Bond may be a dashing hero, but he's also a bed-jumping, misogynistic, self-serving, irresponsible showoff. That side of him reflects the personality of his creator — Ian Fleming, a real-life spy during World War II — in the four-part miniseries "Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond." Dominic Cooper ("Mamma Mia!") plays the title character as a cross between George Clooney and Mr. Bean in this dastardly delicious tale, packed with plenty of references to Bond's origins that will leave you shaken and stirred. 9 p.m. Wednesday, BBC America

The elephant in the room

Think you know Mitt Romney? Think again. "Mitt" takes advantage of unprecedented access to the former Massachusetts governor during his presidential run, showing off a personality that was kept behind closed doors. Available on Netflix

Meet the parent

Even though we've met Ted's future wife during the final season of "How I Met Your Mother," we haven't learned much about her. That changes in a new episode, told from the point of view of the Mother (Cristin Milioti). 7 p.m. Monday, WCCO, Ch. 4

Hitting the road

"Parks and Recreation" may be coming back for a seventh season, but it will be without Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe, who wave goodbye in what should be an emotionally charged episode. I'm sure the show can continue to shine without Lowe, but it's hard to imagine the series without Jones around to keep recent Golden Globe winner Amy Poehler grounded. 7:30 p.m. Thursday, KARE, Ch. 11
