Father and child reunion

Bruce and Laura Dern keep it all in the family when they appear together on “Inside the Actors Studio” (6 p.m., Bravo). The father-daughter team talk about their various roles over the years and why Laura doesn’t call home more often.

They’re the Millers

“The Millers” (7:30 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) has two things going for it: a cushy time slot right after “The Big Bang Theory” (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) and a talented cast that keeps threatening to elevate the mediocre scripts. The show is doing somewhat better since the shaky pilot, which you can see for yourself in a three-episode marathon of repeats.

History lesson

A local production of “The Past Is Alive Within Us: The U.S.-Dakota Conflict” (8 p.m., TPT, Ch. 2) takes a look at the Dakota War of 1862 and how the tragic results still resonate today throughout Minnesota and neighboring states. It’s a story all too few people know about.
