Blame it all on his roots

"Garth Brooks, Live From Las Vegas" (8 p.m. Friday, WCCO, Ch. 4) features highlights from the country superstar's one-man show that pays homage to his musical heroes and how they influenced his monstrous hits.

Barack and Barbara

"20/20" (9 p.m. Friday, KSTP, Ch. 5) looks back at some of Barbara Walters' most memorable White House interviews and includes a fresh chat with President Obama. Maybe the two will exchange notes over which group is harder to deal with: Congress or the cast of "The View."

Huxtable holidays

Who better to select the 10 best episodes of "The Cosby Show" (4 p.m. Sunday, TVLand) than the man himself? See the Cosby sweater collection from the guess-who's-coming-to-dinner Thanksgiving episode, "Cliff's Wet Adventure," to the lip-syncing rendition of "Night Time Is the Right Time" in "Happy Anniversary."

Take me to the Mardi Gras

The five-episode coda for "Treme" (8 p.m. Sunday, HBO) begins as the characters continue to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina through tears, music and a whole lot of red beans and rice. "Treme" may not be as rich as David Simon's previous work (most notably "The Wire"), but it's still a feast for anyone who has danced and drunk their way through the streets of New Orleans.
