Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as Louis in Stephen Poliakoff’s “Dancing on the Edge.”

Strike up the band

Chiwetel Ejiofor leads an all-star cast in “Dancing on the Edge” (8 p.m. Saturday, Starz), a five-part miniseries loosely based on Duke Ellington’s experiences in Europe during the 1930s. Adrian Johnston, who contributed to the award-winning score for “Kinky Boots,” provides original music.
