Having a ball

Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana, who both got early breaks in the Twin Cities, take the morning shift when “Live With Kelly & Michael” (9 a.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) pays tribute to “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.” Hugh Jackson, who knows a few things about Broadway, also pops by to justify yet another Wolverine movie.

The history of Mel, part 1

If you love Mel Brooks half as much as Brooks loves himself, you’ll get a kick out of a special night of programming that includes repeats of “The AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Mel Brooks” (7 and 11:30 p.m., TCM), a screening of his 1970 classic “The Twelve Chairs” (8:30 p.m., TCM) and a rerun of the insightful 2006 special “The Dick Cavett Show: Mel Brooks” (2:45 a.m., TCM).

Sous what?

“Top Chef Masters” (9 p.m., Bravo) returns — with a zesty twist. This season, the competitors’ sous chefs will engage in an online competition, with winners garnishing bonuses for their bosses. Among the celebrities who stop by for a bite: Mindy Kaling, Kathie Lee Gifford and Busy Philipps.
