Matthew Modine attempts to save the world in "CAT. 8" (7 p.m., Reelz), a movie about a fireball heading toward Earth. Seeing that Reelz is owned by the St. Paul-based Hubbard family, which also oversees KSTP, there's a good chance that the rescue team includes meteorologist Patrick Hammer.

Dance fever

The world of Ballet West is revisited in the second-season premiere of "Breaking Pointe" (8 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9), a docu-series that attempts to shatter stereotypes about the dance world. Since the troupe is based in Salt Lake City, we're eagerly awaiting a performance of "Dance of the Osmonds."

Shop till you drop

Stacy Keibler gets over her breakup with George Clooney by hitting the stores. She's the host of "Supermarket Superstar" (9 p.m., Lifetime), a new series in which entrepreneurs try to dazzle titans of the food world with their unique products. Debbie Fields of Mrs. Fields Cookies is among the judges.
