Winners and losers

Mitt Romney hasn't gabbed much since losing the presidential election, but he's making an appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (10:35 p.m. Friday, KARE, Ch. 11). He probably just wants to meet the "American Idol" champ, who is also booked for the evening.

Crazy on them

Heart, Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Rush and Donna Summer are among those being inducted into the "2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" (8 p.m. Saturday, HBO) — as long as they don't test for steroids at the door.

Sightseeing

More than 51 camera crews worked for three years on "North America" (8 p.m. Sunday, Discovery), a seven-part series that takes us everywhere from Death Valley to the rain forests of Belize. Don't be surprised if you wake up Monday with a serious case of jet lag.

Shiver me timbers

If you're still complaining about the brutal nature of this past winter, get a load of the characters in "Life Below Zero" (9 p.m. Sunday, NGC), who prefer the remote regions of Alaska to something more tolerable like, say, an icebox.
