THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW

When: Noon weekdays, KSTC, Ch. 45.

Call him: The Strict Uncle.

Strength: Harvey's tough-love approach has already worked on radio, film, print and even "Family Feud."

Weakness: Dr. Phil McGraw is already doling out relationship advice. Do we really need another know-it-all telling us we're doing it wrong?

Typical guests: Bad parents, bad daters.

KATIE

When: 2 p.m. weekdays, KSTP, Ch. 5.

Call her: Jill of All Trades.

Strength: Longtime fans of the "Today" show know that nobody does a better job of meshing perky with poignant.

Weakness: Great expectations. Anything short of consistently finishing in the top three will be considered a failure.

Typical guests: Women who reinvent themselves, Jennifer Lopez.

THE RICKI LAKE SHOW

When: Noon weekdays, KMSP, Ch. 9.

Call her: The Girlfriend.

Strength: Lake has been down this road before and has a built-in audience rooting for her.

Weakness: She may drown without resorting to trashy topics.

Typical guests: Online daters, war amputees.

THE JEFF PROBST SHOW

When: 9 a.m. weekdays, WCCO, Ch. 4.

Call him: Mr. Sensitive.

Strength: Great set, great energy, great smile.

Weakness: Just because you can handle a tribal meeting on "Survivor" doesn't mean you can handle sensitive subjects.

Typical guests: Senior sex experts, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock.
