Vonn for victory

Minnesota's own Lindsey Vonn is preparing to defend her title and, no, they haven't moved up the Winter Olympics. Vonn is looking to make it three in a row as best female athlete at "The 2012 ESPYs Awards" (8 p.m., ESPN). Former "Daily Show" correspondent Rob Riggle will start as host, but could be replaced at any moment by Tim Tebow.

Bad romance

Investigation Discovery continues its mission to make you feel better about your love life with the new series "Dates From Hell" (9 p.m., ID), which is preceded by two new episodes of "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?" (8 p.m., ID). In comparison, your argument with your partner over being late for dinner just doesn't stack up.

Mother and child reunion

If you're going to cast a transgender contract killer, you couldn't pick anyone better than Chloe Sevigny, an actress who is equally capable of charming you and giving you the creeps. She stars in the new dramatic series "Hit & Miss" (9 p.m., DirectTV) as an assassin who discovers he/she has an 11-year-old son.
