Sunday

Imagine "Amazing Race" set in Alcatraz and you get an idea of the premise of "The Great Escape" (9 p.m., TNT). Three teams of two people must follow clues, dodge guards and steal away to the mainland. Veteran sportscaster Rich Eisen calls the action.

Monday

"Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" (11:35 p.m., Ch. 11) sounds like winning TV with Charlie Sheen talking about his new "Anger Management" series, Beth Ostrowsky discussing hubby Howard Stern and a performance by Alabama Shakes, arguably the best new rock band to emerge this year.

Tuesday

Gordon Ramsay brings two mentors to "Hell's Kitchen" (7 p.m., Ch. 9) -- prizefighters Tito Ortiz and Sugar Ray Leonard. Do they encourage the 12 chefs to whip each course together in three minutes?

Wednesday

The guests for "The Talk" (1 p.m., Ch. 4) were not announced in advance, but word is that WCCO-TV anchor Amelia Santaniello will be a guest host, sitting in for Julie Chen. One time we heard Amelia interview a celeb and she asked: "Why are you called the Smashing Pumpkins?"

Thursday

Charlie Sheen's boldest effort yet to rehab his public image arrives with the debut of "Anger Management" (8 p.m., FX). Sheen plays a therapist who -- surprise, surprise -- needs quite a bit of therapy himself.
