New life for 'Six Feet Under' alums

The careers of "Six Feet Under" veterans are far from dead in TV Land. Here's an update on Peter Krause's former co-stars:

MICHAEL C. HALL

Then: David Fisher, anal-retentive mortician struggling to maintain his temper and a tentative relationship with his boyfriend.

Now: Dexter Morgan, in Showtime's "Dexter," an anal-retentive serial killer struggling to maintain his desire to kill and a tentative relationship with his girlfriend.

LAUREN AMBROSE

Then: Claire Fisher, sarcastic, but good-natured soul who sometimes acts like a baby.

Now: Coco on Fox's upcoming "The Return of Jezebel James," a sarcastic, but good-natured soul who is asked to carry her sister's baby.

RACHEL GRIFFITHS

Then: Brenda Chenowith, woman with problems in her love life; has a strange relationship with her brother.

Now: Sarah Walker in ABC's "Brothers & Sisters," woman with problems in her love life; has a strange relationship with her brother.

LILI TAYLOR

Then: Lisa Kimmel Fisher, hippie wife who tries to counsel troubled husband Nate.

Now: Ann Bellowes on Lifetime's "State of Mind," from-the-hip shrink who tries to counsel troubled patients.

RAINN WILSON

Then: Arthur Martin, creepy tenant at Fisher's funeral home.

Now: Dwight Schrute in NBC's "The Office," a creepy salesman at Scranton paper-supply company.
