'Fiddler on the Roof'

Continuing: Chanhassen Dinner Theatre brings back one of its favorite titles. "Fiddler" helped the theater turn the corner on success when it ran for 53 weeks in 1971-72. It was brought back a few times, but Chan has not produced the show since 1993. Keith Rice (left) plays Tevye in Michael Brindisi's new production. Brindisi also is understudying the main role but said he doesn't expect ever going on, because "Keith Rice is amazing." Others in the cast are Jared Oxborough (who just finished with "Joseph") and Molly Sue McDonald as the fiddler. The musical, about a milkman trying to preserve his religious traditions in czarist Russia, is one of the most successful in Broadway history.
