Minnesota Dance Theatre

Opens Friday: MDT starts its 2013-14 season with a fresh perspective, specifically the addition of Charles Askegard as associate artistic director. The Cowles Center program includes a world premiere, "Serenade for Two," from Askegard, who trained as a child with MDT before performing with American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. Artistic director Lise Houlton will also unveil a work that explores a series of "What if?" scenarios called "Edifice Wrecks" (pictured, with Raina Gilliland and Sam Feipel), created in collaboration with Dane Stauffer.
