EMILY JOHNSON/CATALYST

Sunday: "Niicugni (Listen)" explores the connection between the innermost self with the land that defines not only our personal and family histories but also the cycle of life and death. Memory, according to Bessie and Sage award-winning choreographer/director Johnson, is as much a part of who we are as the bones, cells, tissues and skin that make up our bodies. This dance/performance features a light installation of handmade, functional salmon-skin lanterns created by volunteers, plus music/sound design by James Everest and Bethany Lacktorin. (7 p.m. Sun. $20-$31. The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University, 2004 S. Randolph Av., St. Paul. 651-690-6700, www.oshaughnessy.stkate.edu.)
