GRUPO CORPO

Tuesday: Ten years ago Grupo Corpo gave the Twin Cities a performance that proved just how rhythmic, athletic and beautifully diverse the dance forms of Brazil can be. Now the troupe, led by Paulo Pederneiras, returns for another opportunity to wow audiences with two repertory works choreographed by Rodrigo Pederneiras. “Ímã” (“Magnet”), from 2009, pictured, explores the volatile dynamics of attraction and repulsion, while the 2011 work “Sem Mim” (“Without Me”) draws upon a musical score inspired by a medieval Galician-Portuguese songbook that tells the stories of women who long for the return of lovers who have gone to sea. (7:30 p.m. Tue. $37-$59. Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-625-6600 or www.northrop.umn.edu. Free performance preview at 6:15 p.m., Solera Restaurant, 900 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls.)
