By now you either have New Year's Eve plans -- or they have fallen through. If count yourself among the latter, or if you're just looking for a place to show off that new Christmas sweater, here are some options. If you don't normally go out for the holiday, this is a chance to get in on the action.

BRAVE NEW WORKSHOP

The workshop features four events Monday. The Danger Committee will do two performances of its current show, "We Three Kings: A Stocking Full of Awesome II," in the downstairs room. The current comedy revue "Fifty Shades of White: A Minnesota XXXmas" will be upstairs for one show, to be followed by an all-improv night capper. The Danger Committee, which appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent," mixes juggling, knife throwing, circus stunts and a post-show Q&A period. "Fifty Shades" features a cast led by Lauren Anderson. The improv show is just what it sounds like -- they're making it up on the fly. That show, the last of the night, has party favors, drink specials and a midnight countdown.

"Danger": 7 & 10 p.m., $25 • "Fifty Shades": 8:30 p.m., $35 ($40 if you want to stay for improv show) • Improv: 11 p.m., $15 • 824 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. • 612-332-6620 or www.bravenewworkshop.com

BRYANT-LAKE BOWL

The BLB also is pitching four shows on New Year's Eve, thanks to the hard work of the Scrimshaw boys. Joshua English Scrimshaw saddles up with Levi Weinhagen for two performances of "Baby New Year's Time Traveling Diaper Party #2" early in the evening. These two teamed up for the popular "The Gentlemen's Pratfall Club" at last summer's Minnesota Fringe Festival. Others on the bill for this gig include Laura Zabel, Dan Hetzel and Adrienne English. That's the family option, for those with young kids or really old parents who can't stay up. If you don't have that problem, Joshua Scrimshaw joins brother Joseph for two late-night showings of "The Year in Denial." It's sketch, stand-up and improv comedy. Don't be surprised if some of the guests from the early-bird shows end up on stage -- or other funny folks, for that matter.

"Baby": 5 & 7 p.m., $8-$14 • "Denial": 9 & 11 p.m., $15-$20 • 810 W. Lake St., Mpls. • 612-825-8949 or www.bryantlakebowl.com

PARKWAY THEATER

Comic Lizz Winstead is doing one show Monday night as part of her long weekend in Minneapolis. "The Long and Binding Road: 2012 in Review" features Winstead's slashing and burning satire. Look for her to carve up the election (she loves, loves, loves her some politics) and then pick off some other low-hanging fruit of American culture. Winstead promises a 90-minute show, with no warmup act. She's performing at Pepito's Parkway Theater, in one of south Minneapolis' micro-trendy locales, 48th and Chicago. Lots of dining and drinking options within walking distance.

7 p.m. Fri.-Sat., $30-$40 • 8:30 p.m. Mon., $40-$50 • 4814 Chicago Av. S., Mpls. • 1-800-838-3006 or brownpapertickets.com

CHANHASSEN

If you have more spending cash in your pocket, the entertainment center in Chanhassen has three NYE options, along with dinner and complimentary champagne. "Bye Bye Birdie" is in the big room, with post-show big-band music and dancing on the main stage. Stevie Ray's Comedy Cabaret, an improv show, is downstairs in what we used to call the Playhouse. And then, in the Fireside stage, Chanhassen will present a Beatles cover band with "The Beatles -- A Tribute Concert." You've heard of the Beatles, right? Must I say more? Jonny James and the Hall of Fames and guest Mike McDonough of the "Rubber Soul" band are on the bill. The shows are timed to all let out at the same time for the dance party on the main stage.

"Birdie": Dinner at 5:30 p.m., then show • Stevie Ray and "The Beatles": Dinner at 6:30, then show • $100-$125 • 510 W. 78th St., Chanhassen • 952-934-1525 or www.chanhassendt.com
