Opening Friday: Zenon Dance Company celebrates three decades of highlighting choreographic talents in modern dance and jazz with two high-energy programs performed by a hometown troupe on top of its game. The first weekend features two world premieres: Mariusz Olszewski's "Hotel Tango (para Sharon)," a brilliant updated treatment of the most passionate partner dance, and Netta Yerushalmy's "Hello, My Name Is Catherine." Also on tap are two repertory favorites: luciana achugar's "Structures of Feeling" (2010) and Daniel Charon's "Storm" (2011). The second weekend includes "Hotel Tango" plus works by Wynn Fricke and Johannes Wieland, and Danny Buraczeski's lush, jazz-powered "Elegant Echoes" (pictured), from 2007. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 7 p.m. next Sun. $30; $50 for both weekends. Ends Nov. 25. Cowles Center, 528 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-206-3600 or www.thecowlescenter.org.)
