DANCING PEOPLE COMPANY

Friday-Saturday: Robin Stiehm spent many years in the Twin Cities performing with Minnesota Dance Theatre and New Dance Ensemble, among others. She founded her Dancing People Company in 1994. Although Stiehm and her troupe have been based in Ashland, Ore., since 2003, she returns to her former stamping grounds on a regular basis. Most recently her choreography has been seen in the repertory of Mathew Janczewski's Arena Dances (including "Forward Reminiscence," set on a patch of grass, which will be performed again this weekend). Local artists Mary Ann Bradley, Krista Langberg and Janczewski will join Stiehm and her company for two evenings featuring new and familiar works including "Obstacles to Perfection" (pictured, exploring the Seven Deadly Sins) and one premiere. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $20. JSB Tek Box, 528 Hennepin Av. S., second floor, Mpls. 541-941-6282. www.dancingpeople.com.)
