I'm coming a few days late to a great discussion at the blog Howlround. Playwright Cory Hinkle, a member of the Workhaus Collective, kicked things off with a provocative and articulate lament about the ability of writers to get their work on stage routinely in the Twin Cities.
Nearly 20 theater artists have jumped up to offer their opinions, insights and experiences -- with good national perspective on how this issue of "new work" plays out in other cities. There is lots of meat (or if you're vegan, carrots and celery) to chew on.
Have a look here.
