Theater spotlight: "Some Girl(s)" by Neil LaBute
Opens Friday: Two years ago, Walking Shadow Theatre Company put itself on the map with a production of Neil LaBute's "Fat Pig." The company is going back to the same smart, bile-filled well with LaBute's "Some Girl(s)." In this newer play, an engaged man named Guy visits four former girlfriends in different cities before he ties the knot. He tries to make up for his previous piggish behavior with, among others, the girl he dumped before prom and the girl he truly loved. Clarence Wethern plays Guy in a production directed by Brian Balcom and also starring Jennifer J. Phillips as Bobbi. (7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 3 p.m. next Sun. $15-$18. Ends Dec. 5. Pillsbury House Theatre, 3501 Chicago Av. S., Mpls. 612-375-0300 or www.walkingshadowcompany.org.)
