Minneapolis couple wins wedding ceremony on Guthrie stage

Gretchen Bierbaum and Jeremiah Albrecht are going to get married on the Guthrie Theater stage, and will collect a few perks as well.

The Minneapolis couple won the theater's "When We Are Married" Dream Wedding Giveaway package valued at more than $60,000. Five Minneapolis couples competed for the honor in online voting.

After courting for eight years, Bierbaum and Albrecht will be married Aug. 16 in a ceremony officiated by Guthrie veteran and "Father of the Bride" film star Peter Michael Goetz, who is currently performing in "When We Are Married" at the Guthrie.

"When We Are Married" tells the story of three distinguished couples coming together in celebration of their joint silver wedding anniversaries only to discover that the person who married them was, in fact, not authorized to perform marriages.
