He's already performed in Twin Cities arenas and on music's biggest TV stage, "American Idol." But Chris Daughtry is going to get back to his pre-"Idol" roots with a gig Aug. 9 at the Cabooze bar in Minneapolis. To promote the second album ("Leave This Town") by his quartet known as Daughtry, the 29-year-old North Carolinian will rock in 13 U.S. clubs in August. The album, due July 14, features guests Vince Gill and Ben Moody, cofounder of Evanescence. Nickelback's Chad Kroeger helped with songwriting. Howard Benson, who produced Daughtry's blockbuster debut, reprised his role. Tickets for the Cabooze show will go on sale July 11. For VIP ticket information, go to www.daughtryofficial.com.
