Cameo Critic: Max Weinberg

Last update: May 31, 2009 - 1:58 PM

Max Weinberg is not only the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and "The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien" (starting Monday), but also a bit of a Renaissance man. When he's on the road, the law-school dropout and published author checks out points of cultural interest. He's well-versed in the locations of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes in Stillwater and in Spring Green, Wis.

JON BREAM

"Within 150 miles of St. Paul/Minneapolis, you can go to some absolutely historic architectural wonders built by Frank Lloyd Wright. Before McMansions, before the malling of America, you had that school of organic architecture with the residential house. He created an indigenous American architecture that I find fascinating."
