Benefit concert Sunday to raise funds for Katherine Ann Olson scholarship

A stellar lineup of local musicians will memorialize the St. Olaf alum who was murdered after responding to a Craigslist ad.

A benefit concert featuring Storyhill, Romantica, Ann Reed and Teatro del Pueblo will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Grace Church in Eden Prairie for the Katherine Ann Olson Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Olaf College.

Olson, who performed with Teatro del Pueblo, was murdered in October 2007 after responding to a Craigslist ad seeking a nanny.

Because Olson majored in Hispanic studies, her family has designated that the scholarship give preference to Hispanic students.

Tickets are $18 for students/children, $25 for adults, $35 for preferred seating. The church is at 9301 Eden Prairie Road, at the corner of Pioneer Trail, 1 mile south of Hwy. 212. For more information, go to www.concertforkatherine.com.
