METALLICA, STEWART BOOK TARGET CENTER

After visiting much of the United States, Mexico and Europe since October, Metallica will finally land in Minneapolis on Oct. 13 at Target Center. The metal kingpins, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 4 in Cleveland, are touring to promote 2008's "Death Magnetic," a return-to-thrash-form CD that earned rave reviews, two Grammys and a No. 1 slot on the charts. And, for a Hall of Fame act with a hot new album, Metallica is asking people-friendly prices in this economy: $51.50 and $71.50. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 4 at Ticketmaster outlets and Target Center.

Rod Stewart, another Rock Hall of Famer, returns to Target Center on Aug. 17 for a retrospective of his career. Tickets, priced from $47 to $127, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster outlets and Target Center.
