STILLWATER’S LOG JAM

Friday-next Sunday: The city-approved replacement for the fraud-plagued Lumberjack Days, Log Jam has found high ground literally and figuratively speaking. Flooding conditions along the St. Croix riverfront have been met with a new configuration. The music lineup has similarly been elevated, trading in the overpaid dinosaur-rock acts of old for invaluable regional favorites. Minneapolis’ acclaimed soul/funk revivalists Sonny Knight & the Lakers top Friday’s lineup. Iowa folk/blues songwriting hero Greg Brown headlines Saturday along with Twin Cities country throwbacks the Cactus Blossoms. Sunday’s early show features Grammy-winning family folk duo the Okee Dokee Brothers. The lumberjack shows and other festival activities will also resume. (Music: 4:30-10 p.m. Fri., 1:30-10 p.m. Sat., 4-6 p.m. Sun., Lowell Park, downtown Stillwater, $10 after 6 p.m.)
