Las Vegas-style crooner Engelbert Humperdinck has canceled his concert scheduled for Friday at Mystic Lake because of illness.
For a second consecutive time, Las Vegas-style crooner Engelbert Humperdinck has canceled a concert at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel because of a health problem.
The latest show to be scrapped by the 77-year-old was supposed to be Friday. A notice on his Facebook page said Humperdinck is unable to travel by air “due to a trapped nerve in his neck.”
There was no word Thursday from the casino in Prior Lake about rebooking, but the Facebook posting went on to say, “We are trying to reschedule.”
Refunds are available where tickets were purchased starting at noon Thursday. For more information about refunds, contact Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. His concert Saturday night to the north in Thunder Bay, Ontario, also has been canceled.
Humperdinck was supposed to perform at Mystic Lake on May 11, but that show was canceled for what his manager termed “a medical emergency.” It was that cancellation that led to the ill-fated Sept. 27 booking.
Along with touring, Humperdinck has also been working on a studio album of duets, pairing up with Elton John, Smokey Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Neil Sedaka, Willie Nelson and Gene Simmons of Kiss.
