ANTIBALAS

Tuesday: Thanks to their close affiliation with Sharon Jones' Dap Kings and the boon to Afrobeat music via Broadway's "Fela!" musical, these Brooklyn-reared groove maestros are enjoying a much-deserved batch of new attention. Their multi-ethnic, 12-member ensemble curated the music in "Fela!," and some members still play in the pit orchestra. As Antibalas, they earned more critical raves and made a killer TV appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show around last month's release of a new self-titled collection, the band's first in five years. Their fall tour kicks off in Minneapolis. (7:30 p.m. Tue. $18-$20. First Avenue, 701 1st Av. N., Mpls. 612-338-8388.)
