Dolly Parton is busy. She'll be a mentor on "American Idol" on April 1 and 2 to help the finalists learn how to interpret some of her songs. She has been promoting her new back-to-country album, "Backwoods Barbie," with all kinds of TV appearances and radio interviews. She hits the road April 22 for a 12-city U.S. concert tour, which visits Minneapolis on May 7 at Northrop Auditorium, before spending the summer doing shows in Europe. With her busy schedule, the country star says she doesn't have much time to watch TV, but when she does, she favors "CSI: Miami."
"They have that one that runs on the late TV. Usually I'll go to sleep watching Horatio [Caine, played by David Caruso] on 'CSI: Miami.' I love that show. And I love 'House.' Sometimes I get lucky enough to catch that. I like forensics. I just find it intriguing how they can take a hair or a seed or a button and catch a criminal."
