SUMMIT'S BACKYARD BASH

Saturday: The first in a busy month of local beer celebrations (also: Surlyfest, Autumn Brew Review, Harriet's Rauchfest), the St. Paul microbrewery's 26th anniversary bash is also the Doomtree crew's first publicly ticketed concert since its Blowout bashes in December, thanks to SoundTown's cancellation and Rock the Garden's members-only policy. P.O.S., Sims, Dessa and the rest of the hip-hop collective will be joined by a refreshingly unpredictable lineup of other local scenesters, including the hard-touring indie-pop trio Now, Now; veteran electronic-rock favorites Halloween, Alaska; folky charmers Caroline Smith & the Good Night Sleeps, and the Heartbeats, led by former Alarmists frontman and Summit employee Eric Lovold. Also starring: beer, including the latest Summit Unchained brew and year-round brands. (11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. 21 & older. $14-$20. Summit Brewery, 910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul. www.summitbrewing.com.)
