Opens Wednesday: Brooklyn Rider, the hot Big Apple-based string quartet with Minnesota roots, is back for the seventh season of the Stillwater Music Festival, augmented with celebrated string players: cellist Edward Arron, in a tempting Boccherini-Kurtag-Schubert program (7:30 p.m. Wed., Washington County Historic Courthouse, 101 W. Pine St., Stillwater; $10-$25), kemancheh (Persian spike fiddle) virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor (7:30 p.m. Aug. 20, Cedar Cultural Center, 416 Cedar Av. S., Mpls.; $18-$20; 612-338-2674 or www.thecedar.org) and banjo great Bela Fleck, who'll premiere a work for string quartet and banjo (7:30 p.m. Aug. 23, Washington County Courthouse; $10-$25).
