Minnesota's only butt-kicking sports team has kicked Roger Daltrey's Target Center concert up by one day. Fans of the Who who couldn't wait to see Daltrey's new staging of "Tommy" will now get to see it on Oct. 4 instead of Oct. 5, which is when the second of the Lynx's three games in the WNBA Finals is scheduled. All the Oct. 5 tickets will be honored on Oct. 4, and anyone who can't make the reschedule date (a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday) can seek a refund.

"We are happy for the Minnesota Lynx and wish them the best of luck in their unprecedented run for the 2011 WNBA championship," said Tyler Bates, manager of touring for Daltrey's promoter AEG Live, which is graciously accommodating the switch.

But local Who fans also know that Daltrey owes us: His voice was shot the last time the Who were in town in 2006, and most fans believed the show shouldn't have gone on. Maybe he can repay us doubly by sticking around to sing the national anthem at the Lynx game ("Star Spangled Banner," that is, not "God Save the Queen").

Target Center also announced a new concert this morning: A Nov. 20 performance by rowdy, "Fried Chicken"-loving country hitmakers the Zac Brown Band. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $27.50-$62.50.
