For being music critics, I thought your review would actually be less of a love fest. I thought the show was great -- and it was great to hear some of those tunes; I thought "Little Guitars" was one of the best songs of the night.
But how could you not mention:
Dave [Lee Roth] forgetting the lyrics to the middle monologue of "Everybody Wants Some."
Dave not hitting the lyrics or notes for "Unchained" or "Beautiful Girls."
The overly loud keyboard recording on "Jump" (probably their worst performance of the night).
I agree Dave didn't work the stage enough; he spent too much time doing stupid Tai Chi moves next to Eddie [Van Halen] (although the mike stand swinging on "Jump" was incredible).
While I think the band will last the entire tour, I'm glad I'm not seeing one of the last shows -- I don't think Dave's voice will last.
