Who might take over Leigh Kamman's show? Some suggestions:
Craig Eichhorn: Once a mainstay on local jazz station KBEM, he is a music activist and advocate who is well connected in the Twin Cities jazz community.
Larry Englund: The veteran KFAI DJ and music writer has broad musical knowledge and deep roots in the community.
Connie Evingson: One of the Twin Cities' most high-profile jazz vocalists, she has done a radio show on KBEM -- and she has a terrific voice for radio.
Arne Fogel: A versatile jazz vocalist and well-versed music historian, he has worked in many radio formats, from rock oldies to "beautiful music" to jazz.
Patty Peterson: One of the Twin Cities' best-known jazz singers, she hosted a talk show on WCCO Radio from 1997 through 2003.
Danny Sigelman: He's a gigging drummer, a DJ on the Current and a musichead with an abiding curiosity about new and old sounds. In his early 30s, he would bring youth and a fresh perspective to the jazz scene.
Tom Surowicz: The veteran writer and former KBEM host has a deep knowledge of jazz. Other than Kamman, who has seen more Twin Cities jazz shows in the past three decades?
