Friday: They should offer a prize this year: Free tickets to anyone who can remember two or more of the top 10 contestants from the utterly forgettable ninth season of "Idol." And maybe front-row seats to anyone who shows an iTunes receipt for the mushy cover of U2's "Beautiful Day" by champ Lee DeWyze (pictured). The series' downward slide has its upside, though. First, the Twin Cities date on the annual summer tour was moved from a Sunday to a more party-friendly Friday night when other cities on the tour were canceled. And since tickets still are selling almost as poorly as Taylor Hicks' albums, chances are good you can get a great seat at the last minute this week. How else are you going to be able to tell Didi Benami from Crystal Bowersox, or Aaron Kelly from one of the arena's teenage cotton-candy sellers? (7:30 pm. Fri. $40.50-$70.50. Target Center, 600 1st Av. N., Mpls. 1-800-982-2787. www.ticketmaster.com.)
