Everybody's Fine: A widower (Robert De Niro) takes to the road to check in with his adult children (Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell), who aren't doing as well as he'd thought. (Dec. 4)

Armored: Laurence Fishburne and Matt Dillon star in this thriller about an armored car robbery that goes seriously wrong. (Dec. 4)

Serious Moonlight: Meg Ryan plays a Manhattan lawyer whose husband (Timothy Hutton) takes up with a younger woman. (Dec. 4)

Brothers: When a Marine is reported missing in Afghanistan, his ne'er-do-well brother takes care of his wife and family, with cataclysmic results. Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman star. (Dec. 4)

Invictus: Morgan Freeman plays Nelson Mandela in this true story of a rugby coach (Matt Damon) who works with the South African president to forge a new sense of national identity. Directed by Clint Eastwood. (Dec. 11)

Did You Hear About the Morgans? Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant play a troubled Manhattan couple who forge a new bond after they witness a murder and are moved by the feds to Wyoming. (Dec. 18)

It's Complicated: Meryl Streep plays a woman torn between her ex-husband (Alec Baldwin) and a friend (Steve Martin) in this romantic comedy by Nancy Meyers ("Something's Gotta Give"). (Dec. 25)

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel: A follow-up to the runaway hit of two Christmases ago. (Dec. 25)

A Single Man: After the sudden death of his partner, an English professor (Colin Firth) tries to resume his life in Los Angeles. Julianne Moore co-stars in designer Tom Ford's filmmaking debut. (Limited release; no local date yet)

Broken Embraces: Penélope Cruz reunites with director Pedro Almodovar in this romantic thriller. (Limited release; no local date yet)
