Monsters dominate 'Godzilla' reboot
In Gareth Edwards' reboot of the 1954 Japanese classic (last rebooted in a mediocre 1998 update with Matthew Broderick), the monsters are kind of a kick. This "Godzilla" (PG-13, Warner) not only has more monsters — three, to be precise — but they're way more interesting than any of the humans. The nasty buglike MUTOs — Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms — alone are worth the price of admission. The film boasts handsome, plentiful scenes of mayhem. And Godzilla looks pretty great in 3-D. Extras include a "Monarch: Declassified" multipart featurette that uncovers "evidence" that unravels the 50-year "coverup" to keep Godzilla's existence a secret; behind-the-scenes featurettes.
