The Dish: George Lucas

George Lucas says he's moving on to small, personal movies, which would make "Red Tails" (financed and produced by Lucasfilm) his last big-budget production. Does that mean no "Indy 5"? On that topic, he also admits that he talked Steven Spielberg into the much-ridiculed "nuking the fridge" scene in "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull." "The odds of surviving that refrigerator -- from a lot of scientists -- was about 50/50!" Lucas claims.

The final reel

Kate Winslet and Kenneth Branagh will star in the 1940s drama "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society." ... Steven Spielberg says he'll start shooting "Tintin 2" this year. ... Daniel Radcliffe and Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene") star in the Beat-poets drama "Kill Your Darlings." ... News no one needed: "Grown-Ups 2" will open in July 2013. ... Tommy Lee Jones will play Gen. Douglas MacArthur in the World War II epic "Emperor." ... Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy will fund some humor in "Identity Theft." ... "Expendables 2," the action-star showcase (Stallone, Statham, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, et al.), might be released as PG-13 so as not to offend the sensibilities of new cast member Chuck Norris.
