Wednesday-next Sunday: The Ramsey County Fair isn't just a bunch of well-groomed animals parading around with 4-H'ers. Musical acts such as the Lamont Cranston Band, Wolves and Ravens, and Rubber Soul will rock the fairground. Creative types will display and sell unique artwork and crafts. The horticulture and rose show will interest gardening enthusiasts. A kids' zone will provide activities and live entertainment. (5-11 p.m. Wed.-Thu.; noon-midnight Fri.-Sat.; noon-9:30 p.m. next Sun. Free. Ramsey County Fairgrounds, Frost and White Bear Avs., Maplewood. www.ramseycountyfair.com.)
