WINTER CARNIVAL

St. Paul’s annual ode to all things cold has fun for all ages. Signature events include Saturday’s Beer Dabbler, where guests can try local craft brews, as well as the Torchlight Parade on Feb. 1. Learn how to live a greener life at the Energy in the Park event Saturday. Rice Park hosts ice sculptures, a snowplow competition, vendors and more. Beautiful orchids will be shown at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory next weekend. The fun will heat up Feb. 1 with the overthrow of King Boreas, fireworks and a Vulcan Victory Dance. (Various days, times and locations, see website for details. www.winter-carnival.com.)
